My story
I don't set out to be a hero. I try to be the person who shows up.
I'll fight for people who can't fight for themselves, or who haven't yet found their voice. I'll talk first if talking can solve the problem. I'll volunteer, organize, advocate, or lead when that's what is needed. And I'm not above a little creativity, stubbornness, or mischief when the conventional approach fails.
I value compassion without passivity, conviction without cruelty, and action over applause. I don't believe every problem needs a fight. I believe in knowing what matters, understanding people, and doing the work.
Parkinson's advocacy is part of that commitment. So are leadership, community involvement, technology, and helping people navigate complicated systems. Those are different arenas, but they're driven by the same principle: stand up, lend a hand, and find a way.
